Ok, So for whatever reason I’m starting to prefer my own company once again at the cinema (No offence intended to Hippo or Kaiskune) and recently went to see Edge Of Darkness starring Mel Gibson obviously as the movie poster fucking shows…Anyway moving onto the review.

Mel Gibson is Thomas Craven, A Boston homicide police detective, A veteran at his job who is picking up his only child Emma played by Bojana Novakovic from what is a work holiday. One night as they are walking out of the house together due to Emma being ill, She is gunned down in front of Thomas.  At first it would appear that he was the target, But after investigating it himself, He concludes that he wasn’t the target, But his daughter.

Ok, I went to see this Friday night and was going to do a review straight after I got home…But a small miscalculation on my part…Arriving back home at 2:30AM saw me to do it later. Ok so moving on.

Morgan Freeman plays Nelson Mandela, Just recently released from prison, Enters into politics and becomes the president of  a failing South Africa that is suffering problems everywhere from crime, sporting failure to race of black and white people.  Nelson’s belief is that the only way he can unite and build the country is to get the South African rugby team to improve and win the world cup who is captained by Francois Pienaar played by Matt Damon.

Usually i wouldn’t write a review of a Demonstration preview of a game but Alien Vs Pred is a franchise that’s way too big to ignore when they grace us gamers with a playable preview of their latest concoction. I’m not going to go into huge detail over its history, useless facts etc… I’ll leave that for the main review that will come in  just over a fortnights times when i get my grubby mitts on a copy of the full game.
